Profumum Ichnusa Perfume Review

Profumum Ichnusa Perfume Review

Profumum Roma Ichnusa Eau de Parfum has a very crisp, vividly green opening–like fresh, juicy crushed up leaves of the fig tree. That green intensity lasted for a solid two hours before becoming sweeter and sweeter, more floral and less green, through the remainder of the wear.

These are the notes:

  • top notes: myrtle
  • heart notes: fig tree
  • base notes: grass

It was vividly verdant in its opening; cool, crispy, green–like freshly crushed-up fig leaves. About 15 minutes in, there was a light, grassy sweetness, almost like surrounded by coconut milk, that bound the greenery together in a lush wreath. Ichnusa remained the full spectrum of the color green; from dark and leafy to light chartreuse.

It remained incredibly crisp, green, and gently sweet for the next two hours, but it did sweeten considerably in the third hour and lost most of its green qualities by the fourth hour. It was slightly woody, warm, and sweet in a floral way throughout the drydown.

Application

For testing, I used 1/3 of a 0.7ml sample vial dabbed to the underside and topside of my wrist area on my left arm. I used an unscented moisturizer prior to applying the scent as this is also my swatching arm (aka, incredibly parched at any given moment) as I found scent did not hold well here otherwise.

Longevity

It lasted for five hours until it was a skin-scent and about eight hours before it was quite difficult to detect on my skin. The sillage and projection were moderate with the sillage dropping faster than the projection within the first hour of wear.

Available Sizes

  • 100ml for $275
  • 18ml for $93 (harder to find size in the US)
  • 0.7ml sample for $6
