Lancome Attrape Coeur (505) L’Absolu Rouge Drama Matte Lipstick (2022) ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a bright, neon red with neutral-to-warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was slightly firmer, so I had to use more pressure to apply it in a continuous stroke, so it dragged slightly. It had opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and didn’t emphasize my lip texture. It lasted nicely for over six hours, left a stain behind, and felt non-drying.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to deliver "intense bold color in one swipe" with a "vibrant and matte finish." The texture is firmer, slightly denser and stiffer, though not to the point where it dragged or became painful to apply. I found that the added stiffness made it easier to get a more precise edge when working with the formula, which was quite pigmented overall.

Despite having a very matte finish, as promised, the formula sat well on my lips and did not seem prone to emphasizing lip lines, settling into lip lines, or clumping around texture, which made it a more flattering matte formula to wear. They were transfer-resistant and longer-wearing with many shades lasting over six hours on me. The formula felt lightly hydrating to non-drying overall and were comfortable to wear.

They had a floral scent and very subtle taste at times, though not consistently for me.

Lancome Mademoiselle Lupita (507) L’Absolu Rouge Drama Matte Lipstick (2022) ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark, brownish-burgundy with soft, warm undertones and a matte finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, slightly denser feel that was still quite lightweight and almost thin once it was applied, though it didn’t cling and seemed to smooth out most of my lip lines–which was nice to find with such a matte finish. It wore well for over six hours and was neither drying nor hydrating.
