Chanel Imaginaire (384) Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow ($62.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a very warm-toned, peach color story that includes three lighter and more mid-tone peach and one deeper shade.
I think that the quad has the effect of looking more similar on than ideal for a quad–there’s just not a lot of versatility here. For someone who LOVES just these colors and uses one or two shades in a look, it would work fine, but I expect there is a lack of contract between the shades for many. While I tend to find Chanel’s formula quite consistent, this quad missed the mark for what I’d expect in terms of quality from the brand.

Imaginaire #1 is a medium-dark, reddish-brown with soft, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had a smooth, blendable texture that was lightly emollient without being too powdery or too densely-packed. The eyeshadow had opaque color coverage that stayed on well for eight and a half hours.

Imaginaire #2 is a medium-dark peach base with balanced pink and orange undertones paired with flecks of fine micro-sparkle. It had semi-sheer to medium color coverage and felt firmly-pressed into the pan, which made it stiffer to work with. I preferred using a dampened brush to minimize fallout as a result. This shade lasted for seven and a half hours on me.

It had mostly opaque, buildable color coverage that adhered well to bare skin and blended out well. The texture was blendable but was a little firmer in the pan. It wore well for eight hours on me.

Imaginaire #4 is a light-medcium orange with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It applied darker on my skin than it appeared in the pan, so the quad had more contrast in practice than it may have appeared at a glance, though I still found they were more apt to muddy together than look differentiated. The texture was fairly soft and blendable, but it was a little firmly-packed into the pan. This shade had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that stayed on well for eight hours.
