Smashbox Harley Quinn Be Legendary Anti-Hero Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a rich, deeper ruby red with cool, blue undertones and barely-there pearl in a cream finish. It had rich pigmentation that applied evenly and comfortably across my lips without catching on texture imperfections or emphasizing my lip lines.

The texture was smooth, lightly creamy but wasn’t overly slippery, so it had good adhesion and wasn’t prone to feathering on me. It stayed on nicely for six hours, left a stain behind, and felt hydrating while worn.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to have a "creamy" texture with "rich, pigment-packed color." The textures were smooth, creamy with light slip, and comfortable to apply in a fluid motion as they did not tug. Some shades were more satiny in their creaminess, while a couple felt more emollient and would likely benefit from a lip liner for better wear, though I did not experience any shades feathering/bleeding on me.

The pigmentation was semi-opaque to opaque with more shades being closer to opaque than not. They were typically buildable and weren't prone to emphasizing lip texture or gathering in my deeper lip lines. The lipstick wore between four and six hours and was hydrating while worn.

The formula had a faint, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste. I almost thought it was fragrance-free when I first tried to smell it as it was that faint.

Smashbox Mongal Be Legendary Anti-Hero Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a rich, darker purple with neutral-to-warm undertones and a lightly glossy, cream finish. It had more slip compared to most shades I’ve tried in this formula, which made it harder to apply evenly and to the inner area of my lips.

I think it would be best paired with a lip primer or lip pencil to help keep everything in place a little better and help the overall end result look more opaque and more even. It had mostly opaque pigmentation that stayed on decently for four and a half hours. The formula felt moisturizing over time.
