Danessa Myricks Forever, Soulmate, True Luv, Adore U Twin Flames Multichromes Reviews & Swatches

Forever

Danessa Myricks Forever Twin Flames Multichrome Pigment ($26.00 for 0.085 oz.) has a more medium, coppery-brown base with a reflective shift that went from softer bronze to brighter, more orange-copper to brighter, yellowy gold that was ever-so-slightly greenish.

It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer with a fluid, creamy consistency that was lightweight, thin (but not runny or watery), and spreadable. It was one of the easier shades to use at higher coverage, as I felt like the product was more inclined to go on evenly and didn’t require much effort in that respect.

I would recommend using a fluffy, synthetic brush to buff out the edges after a couple of seconds as the formula takes a bit to set. Once the product set, it was lightly tacky to the touch with some flexibility, but it didn’t feel thick or heavy. It stayed on well for 10 hours before creasing slightly on me.

They're supposed to have "high pigment" in "one swipe" with "no creasing, no fallout, and no streaks" in a liquid form. The brand says to "apply directly with the applicator," though I greatly disagree with that. I preferred to pick up product with a brush off of the applicator or to swipe the product on the back of my hand, and then pick up product with a brush or fingertips.

The application was very streaky to work with and often over-applied product, and if one applied too much of a shade, it often looked particularly uneven--both in the coverage but also in the physical thickness/texture of the product (it would be more prone to emphasizing lid texture). The lighter shades sometimes were sheerer, while the more black-based shades seemed more intense and were easier to use as a full-on lid color.

In general, the more white-based or translucent-based shades were better as a wash of color or layered over something else. I wouldn't call them "high pigment" in most instances.

The consistency was fluid, lightweight, and somewhat thin with moderate creaminess. There was enough slip that if one over-applied, it could pull into fine lines as it set, so I always made sure to buff and blend the product a bit (especially along my inner lid area) just before it set. This was particularly noticeable when I tried to use it on my lower lash line, and I had better luck applying and sheering it out with a pencil brush for a more even dry down.

It blended out decently along the edges but I'd likely use a powder eyeshadow to blend and soften the edges (either before/after or both from applying this product). They had a quick dry down and set to a lightly tacky, but fairly transfer-resistant finish. It was was a little clingy, but it did not feel heavy on.

They lasted between nine and 10 hours on me before creasing slightly, but I didn't have issues with fallout, flakiness, etc. over time.

As a note, I did detect a more noticeable scent to the product, not added fragrance but from the formula itself, though I didn't notice it during wear.

Soulmate

Danessa Myricks Soulmate Twin Flames Multichrome Pigment ($26.00 for 0.085 oz.) had a warmer, plummy-brown base with multichromatic shift between yellowy-green, cooler green, denim blue and soft bluish-violet paired with a metallic sheen. It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage, but the base seemed a little more translucent, which may have been somewhat responsible for the sheerness initially.

The consistency was fluid, creamy, and smooth without being too thin, though a little runny, so it was something better applied with a fingertip or a luffy brush to really diffuse and get an even layer of product on the lid. There was a fair amount of play time to apply and work with the product, and for me, I had to go back and buff some areas to smooth them out as it could settle into fine lines (particularly around my inner lid area) as it was drying down. Once it set, though, it stayed in place for over 10 hours.

True Luv

Danessa Myricks True Luv Twin Flames Multichrome Pigment ($26.00 for 0.085 oz.) had more of a black base with multichromatic shift from bluish-teal to cool, muted purple to brighter, warmer purple paired with a metallic sheen. It had rich color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and smoothly to my lid.

The consistency was fluid, creamy but not too thick or too thin, which made it easier to work with using fingertips, brushes, or directly from the tube, though I preferred the first two methods overall. The formula has a longer dry down time, so it can be fussed with for longer, which makes it more forgiving for blending, but it did have a tendency to get into my finer lines around my inner lid area, so I had to go back and smooth the product back into place as it was setting. Once the product dried down, though, it was locked in place for 10 hours.

Adore U

Danessa Myricks Adore U Twin Flames Multichrome Pigment ($26.00 for 0.085 oz.) has a blackened base with multichromatic shift between rich, violet purple, warmer purple, plum, and plummy-bronze paired with a metallic finish. The texture was a little fluid and slightly thicker, so it was easy to over-apply, which gave less forgiving results. I’d definitely recommend applying with a separate brush, which also gave me more control over placement and kept the layer thinner.

It had opaque color payoff that applied evenly otherwise, and I was able to soften the edges for the most part. The black base did make the edge less perfectly diffused as it might with a powder-based eyeshadow, so you may find using a powder eyeshadow layered underneath to soften the edge easier and yield a more blown out look. This shade stayed on nicely for 10 hours before creasing very faintly.
